Washington, July 28 (QNA) - Microsoft announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence (AI) model specializing in cybersecurity, along with a platform that relies on AI agents to automate cyber defense operations. This move aims to enhance its capabilities in countering digital attacks and compete with major AI companies.
The company unveiled the MAI-Cyber-1-Flash model, designed to discover complex software vulnerabilities. It integrates with the MDASH vulnerability analysis and remediation system and the Project Perception platform, which utilizes teams of AI agents to perform vulnerability discovery, analysis, and proposed solutions.
Microsoft explained that the new model achieved advanced results in the CyberGym test, which measures the performance of AI models in cybersecurity. The company said that the platform helps organizations combat attacks that rely on AI technologies.
Microsoft indicated that the platform includes three types of AI teams: red team agents for identifying potential attacks, blue team agents for discovering vulnerabilities and prioritizing their remediation, and green team agents for implementing corrective actions and proposing immediate fixes.
This move comes amid escalating competition among major technology companies to develop AI-powered security solutions, with Microsoft's new tools available in a trial version starting November 3. (QNA)
