Sudanese President Meets Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces
Khartoum, December 26 (QNA) - HE the President of the Republic of the Sudan Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed Al Bashir met here today with HE Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Pilot Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, who is visiting Sudan.
The Sudanese President conferred the First-Class Order of Two Niles upon HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces in recognition of his role in enhancing military cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing them, especially in military cooperation. They discussed issues of common concern, as well.
In another meeting, HE Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces discussed with Sudanese Defense Minister General Awad Mohammed Ahmed Ibn Auf the importance of further developing the Qatari-Sudanese relations in military fields, training and joint cooperation.
HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Sudan Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi attended the two meetings.
Meanwhile, HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces participated today in the tripartite meeting along his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar, and the chief of the Joint Staff of Sudan Lt. Gen. Imad-Eddin Mustafa Adawi.
During his visit to Sudan, HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Pilot Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim inaugurated the headquarters of the military attache in Khartoum. He also visited the Qatari students studying in the military college in Khartoum, in the presence of the chief of the Joint Staff of Sudan Lt. Gen. Imad-Eddin Mustafa Adawi, and Ground Command General Sami Bakhit Mubarak Al Jatal, the military attache of the State of Qatar to Sudan. (QNA)
