Beirut, April 26 (QNA) - One person was killed on Sunday as Israel continued its attacks on southern Lebanon, violating the ceasefire that began on April 16.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the outskirts of the towns of Shaitiya and Qalila in the Tyre district, while another strike targeted the town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah in the Nabatieh district, resulting in one death.

The outskirts of the town of Chama were also subjected to artillery shelling, coinciding with the shelling of the towns of Zawtar and Yahmar al-Shaqif.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that seven people were killed and 24 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon yesterday.

By continuing its attacks on southern Lebanon, Israel is violating the ceasefire that began on April 16 for ten days and was extended for three weeks starting last Friday morning. (QNA)
