Israeli Entity Intensify Attacks on Southern Lebanon Despite Ceasefire
Beirut, April 26 (QNA) - The Israeli entity intensified their attacks on southern Lebanon in a violation of the ceasefire that began on April 16 for ten days and was later extended for an additional three weeks.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the town of Burj Qalaouiyah in Bint Jbeil district was hit by three airstrikes, while the roundabout of Kfar Tebnit was targeted in another strike, with reports of injuries.
It added that Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on the outskirts of the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, while another strike targeted the area between the towns of Zawtar al-Sharqiya and Zawtar al-Gharbiya. A separate double strike hit Zawtar al-Gharbiya, and a motorcycle on the road to Zawtar al-Sharqiya, resulting in one reported death.
The agency noted that Israeli artillery shelling intermittently targeted the outskirts of Arnoun, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Zawtar al-Gharbiya, and Yohmor al-Shaqif, while an Israeli drone flew at very low altitude over Zahrani and nearby villages.
Earlier, Israeli forces issued urgent evacuation warnings to residents of the villages of Mifadoun, Shoukin, Yohmor, Arnoun, Zawtar al-Sharqiya, Zawtar al-Gharbiya, and Kfar Tebnit south of the Litani River, prompting large-scale displacement toward the city of Sidon.
Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health said earlier on Sunday that seven people were killed and 24 others injured in Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday. (QNA)
