WHO Warns of Fast-Spreading Ebola Outbreak
Kampala, May 25 (QNA) - WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is spreading rapidly and poses a serious regional threat.
He said 101 cases and 10 deaths have been confirmed, with more than 900 suspected infections under investigation.
The outbreak involves the Bundibugyo strain, which currently has no approved vaccine or specific treatment.
Uganda has also reported two new cases linked to the outbreak, bringing its total to seven.
