Brussels, April 21 (QNA) - European stocks edged slightly higher on Tuesday after losses in the previous session, amid cautious optimism among investors, supported by reports that peace negotiations in West Asia are still ongoing as the deadline for a ceasefire between Iran and the United States approaches.

The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose by 0.1 percent to 621.99 points, while major European bourses also posted slight gains. Germany's DAX and Britain's FTSE 100 rose by 0.6 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively.

At the sector level, technology stocks led the gains, rising by 1 percent.

Healthcare stocks lagged, falling 0.6 percent. Among other moves, shares of Royal Unibrew plunged 13 percent. (QNA)
