Doha, June 18 (QNA) - The Attorneys' Admission Committee held a meeting on Thursday chaired by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Attorneys' Admission Committee, Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, at the Committee's headquarters in the Ministry of Justice.

The committee reviewed its agenda, during which four new lawyers took the legal oath before the committee after they completed the training period.

The committee also discussed applications from business owners with equivalent qualifications to register on the practicing lawyers' roll. It approved the applications of two new lawyers under training.

The Committee also discussed several procedural matters and regulatory controls for the legal profession, including the minutes of the subcommittees, and the adoption of draft committee resolutions regarding the rules for conducting lawyer registration acceptance tests.

During the meeting, HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Attorneys' Admission Committee, Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi affirmed that the procedures and controls adopted by the committee come within the framework of the Ministry of Justice's ongoing efforts to develop the legal profession and raise the level of legal practice, by strengthening the standards of admission and professional qualification, in line with the legislative and judicial developments taking place in the country.

His Excellency indicated that these steps contribute to preparing qualified legal personnel capable of providing high-quality legal services, which supports the justice system and enhances confidence in the legal profession as a key partner in achieving justice. (QNA)
