Jordan, Egypt FMs Discuss Gaza Ceasefire, Regional Developments
Amman, November 17 (QNA) - Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed on a phone call on Monday with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelaaty, the developments in the region, especially the intensified efforts to lock in a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Both sides underscored the importance of hewing to the ceasefire deal in the Gaza enclave, fully enforcing its terms, ensuring the unhindered delivery of adequate humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip on an urgent basis, and connecting stability achievement efforts with a clear political prospect that realizes a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
In addition, the two sides addressed the draft resolution before the UN Security Council on developments in Gaza, which is likely to be voted on today. They also stressed that the resolution should help uphold the ceasefire in Gaza. (QNA)
