Gold Rises to USD 4,426.52 per Ounce

Singapore, August 17 (QNA) - Gold prices rose on Monday, supported by a weaker US dollar and fading expectations of an interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve. 

Spot gold climbed 1.2 percent to $4,426.52 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery gained 1.1 percent to $4,484.10.

Among other precious metals, spot silver jumped 2.8 percent to $66.44 per ounce.

Platinum gained 2 percent to reach $1,783, and palladium rose 1.5 percent to $1,332.49. (QNA)
