Doha, June 17 (QNA) - Al Shamal SC announced Tuesday the official signing of Spanish midfielder Alex Collado from Real Betis, joining the club's first football team.

The club said in a statement on its official website that Alex will be a member of the team for the new 2025-2026 season.

Collado, 26, is one of the most distinguished midfielders in the Spanish league, having trained at Barcelona's La Masia Academy before moving to Real Betis.

He previously played for Saudi club Al Akhdoud last season on loan from his Spanish club.

Al Shamal club announced a few days ago the signing of Egyptian Akram Tawfik for three seasons.

Al Shamal club finished the 2024-2025 sports season in sixth place in the Qatari league.(QNA)
