Ramallah, March 16 (QNA) - Palestinian Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed, in a telephone call Monday, recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and across the region following the ongoing military escalation.

During the call, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's enduring position in supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, stressing that Egypt condemns the recent decisions to annex parts of the West Bank and the expansion of settlement activities.

He underlined the importance of de-escalating tension in the region and avoiding conflict spillover by giving the utmost priority to diplomatic solutions and strengthening regional and global efforts to contain the situation and safeguard regional peace and security. (QNA)
