GCC Secretary General, EU Official Discuss Regional Developments

Brussels, April 15 (QNA) - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner discussed the latest regional developments along with other topics.

During the meeting in Brussels on Wednesday, the two sides discussed several topics related to cementing Gulf-European ties. In this context, they stressed the follow-up on the outcomes of the statement from the 1st GCC-EU Summit. They also welcomed the holding of annual meetings to maintain joint coordination and explored several proposals aimed at further bolstering GCC-EU links.

The European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration reaffirmed the European Union's supportive stance toward the GCC states against the Iranian aggressions. He further lauded the facilities and services provided by the Council states to facilitate the evacuation of European nationals during the current crisis. (QNA)
