5.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northeastern Colombia
Bogota, September 14 (QNA) - A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck on Sunday north of Uramita, northeastern Colombia.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 50.2 km, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
In 1999, Colombia was struck by a 6.1-magnitude earthquake that left 1,185 people dead and 700 others missing in addition to at least 4,750, injured and around 250,000 others displaced. The city of Armenia was the hardest hit by the 1999 earthquake. (QNA)
