New York, March 13 (QNA) - Major stock indices on Wall Street closed lower Friday, concluding a week marked by sharp fluctuations in crude oil prices as investors assessed the impact of the war in Iran on global oil supplies.

The S&P 500 fell by 40.27 points, or 0.60 percent, to 6,632.35 points.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped 208.28 points, or 0.93 percent, to 22,103.70 points.

Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 117.01 points, or 0.25 percent, to 46,560.84 points. (QNA)
