Death Toll from Israeli Aggression on Gaza Rises to 55,207
Gaza, June 12 (QNA) - The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 55,207 martyrs, in addition to 127,821 wounded.
In a statement Thursday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the number of martyrs who arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours reached 103 martyrs, in addition to 427 wounded.
It noted that the death toll and injuries recorded since the occupation violated the ceasefire agreement on March 18 have reached 4,924 martyrs and 15,780 wounded.
The ministry noted that the total number of martyrs among those awaiting aid who arrived at hospitals from areas designated for aid distribution reached 245, with more than 2,152 injured, including 21 martyrs who died today, while 245 others were injured.
The ministry also highlighted that there are still a number of martyrs under the rubble as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to recover their bodies.
The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is becoming increasingly complex due to the Israeli occupation's intransigence in preventing the entry of humanitarian aid to the population, and the continued bombing of all areas, including the remaining medical and service facilities, as well as the tents of displaced people.
