Doha, May 28 (QNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has launched a new award for the best digital Hajj application developed by Qatari Hajj campaigns for the 1447 AH pilgrimage season.
The initiative aims to accelerate digital transformation in Hajj services and encourage campaigns to adopt innovative technologies to improve pilgrims' experiences.
The ministry said competing applications should provide integrated services, including registration, travel updates, camp locations in the holy sites, religious guidance and direct communication with campaign officials.
Apps using artificial intelligence to respond to pilgrims' inquiries will also be encouraged.
Applications will be evaluated on ease of use, service quality, speed, security and the effective use of smart technologies to support pilgrims during Hajj.
The award forms part of the ministry's 2025–2030 strategy to expand smart services and enhance the quality of support provided to pilgrims from Qatar. (QNA)
