Shura Council Speaker Meets Ambassadors of Sudan, Senegal

Doha, April 12 (QNA) HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, on Sunday met separately with HE Ambassador of the Republic of The Sudan to the State of Qatar, Badr Al Din Abdullah Mohammed Ahmed and HE Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the State of Qatar, Cheikh Tidiane Sall.
During the meetings, HE the Speaker of the Shura Council affirmed the strength of the relations between the State of Qatar and both Sudan and Senegal, and their ongoing development. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation and intensifying coordination in international parliamentary forums, which contributes to unifying positions on issues of common interest.
His Excellency also stressed Qatar's rejection of the Iranian attacks targeting the State of Qatar, which constitute a violation of international law and a threat to the security and stability of the region. He noted the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions.
Regarding Sudan, His Excellency expressed Qatar's keenness on its security, stability, and territorial integrity. The Sudanese Ambassador, for his part, reviewed the developments in his country, expressing his appreciation for Qatar's role in supporting Sudan and preserving its unity.
In his meeting with the Senegalese Ambassador, HE the Speaker of the Shura Council emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination with African parliaments and supporting the peaceful resolution of conflicts. HE the Ambassador addressed the situation in West Africa, commending the State of Qatar's role in conflict resolution and the role of parliaments in supporting mediation and bridging differences.
In both meetings, the ambassadors affirmed their countries' rejection and condemnation of Iranian aggression against the State of Qatar and other countries in the region.
They also expressed their full solidarity with the State of Qatar and their support for all efforts aimed at enhancing regional security and stability. (QNA)
