Brussels, April 12 (QNA) - The European Union stressed on Sunday the critical role of diplomacy in resolving outstanding issues in the Middle East, following the failure of the United States and Iran to reach an agreement during talks held in Pakistan.

EU spokesperson Anouar El Anouni said in a statement that diplomacy remains essential to addressing unresolved matters.

He also highlighted Pakistan's role in mediation efforts, adding that the European Union will contribute to diplomatic efforts while taking into account its full range of interests and concerns, in close coordination with its partners.

Earlier, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to facilitate communication and dialogue between Iran and the United States in the coming days. (QNA)
