Egyptian-European Talks on Regional Developments
Cairo, March 12 (QNA) Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed regional developments in light of the military escalation in the Middle East, as well as ways to strengthen relations between Egypt and the European Union, in a phone call today with European Union's Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Sevic.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that Abdelatty briefed the European official on Egypt's position regarding the regional developments in light of the dangerous military escalation in the region.
He stressed the need for concerted regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions, prioritize diplomatic and political solutions, and resort to dialogue and diplomacy to contain the situation. He also warned of the dangers of the conflict widening and undermining the security and stability of the region and the European Union. (QNA)
