UAE, Syrian Presidents Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Call
Abu Dhabi, March 12 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Syrian President Ahmed Al Sharaa discussed Thursday via phone the latest developments in the region following the military escalation and its serious repercussions on regional security and stability.
During the call, both sides emphasized the importance of prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing outstanding issues in the region in a way that preserves regional and international security and stability.
Al Sharaa reiterated Syria's solidarity with the UAE in the face of Iranian attacks that continue to target its territory and several other brotherly countries in the region.
He also condemned the attack that targeted the UAE Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, stressing that it constitutes a violation of international norms and conventions that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions and their premises, and represents a dangerous escalation that threatens the safety and security of diplomatic personnel.
