Doha, March 12 (QNA) - The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is organizing the 2025 Ramadan Communications Esports Championship in partnership with a startup supported by the Digital Business Incubator and in collaboration with the Qatar Esports Federation.

The championship, which brings together professionals from the communications sector, aims to enhance the participation of the telecommunications and IT industry in esports, while fostering a competitive environment that contributes to the sector’s growth in Qatar.

Held during the blessed month of Ramadan, the event seeks to encourage industry players to engage in interactive activities and provide a unique opportunity for employees and their families to take part in exciting esports competitions that reflect the spirit of the holy month, which is centered around community bonding and connection.

The tournament follows an individual competition format and includes three categories: telecommunications and IT sector employees, children under 18 (employees’ children), and women.

Valuable cash prizes and gifts will be awarded to the top three winners in each category.

The event is expected to enhance collaboration among stakeholders in the communications and IT sector, while providing a stimulating environment that encourages networking and engagement.

The 2025 Ramadan Communications Esports Championship is part of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s strategy to foster local talent.

Following the success of previous editions, supported by sponsors and partners, the ministry reaffirms its commitment to launching initiatives and events that promote sustainable digital transformation in Qatar. (QNA)
