Environment Minister Reviews Qatar's Environmental Monitoring Laboratory
Doha, June 11 (QNA) - HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie has reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to strengthening environmental monitoring systems and enhancing technical capabilities in line with international best practices.
During a visit to the Environmental Laboratory Section of the Environmental Monitoring and Inspection Department, the minister praised ongoing developments in the laboratory's technical infrastructure, including advanced equipment and qualified national staff. He highlighted its role in providing scientific data to support environmental oversight and decision-making.
The visit was part of a broader review of the ministry's environmental monitoring system and its readiness to support the protection of natural resources.
Dr Al Subaie was briefed on the laboratory's procedures for conducting chemical, physical, and biological analyzes of environmental samples, identifying pollutants and their concentrations, and supporting national monitoring and inspection efforts.
He also toured a mini-exhibition and the laboratory's facilities, where he was informed about sample reception processes, testing procedures, and quality control, safety, and security measures implemented within the lab. (QNA)
