Doha, November 10 (QNA) - Hamad International Airport (HIA) has achieved its busiest quarter yet, serving over 14.3 million passengers from July to September 2025, a solid year-on-year growth of 4.3 percent.

The quarter's highlight was a record-breaking August, which became the airport's busiest month ever, welcoming over 5 million passengers.  This performance reinforces HIA's position as one of the world's fastest-growing global hubs.

This milestone quarter was supported by a 7 percent year-on-year increase in point-to-point passengers, with 3.4 million travellers flying to and from Doha, alongside growing aircraft movements and strong seat occupancy across airlines operating at Hamad International Airport.

Two new routes were launched by Qatar Airways during the quarter, to Malta and Aleppo, further expanding connectivity through its hub airport. An overall customer satisfaction score of 98 percent was consistently delivered throughout the quarter, underscoring HIA ability to combine operational scale with exceptional service quality.

Chief Operating Officer of HIA, Hamad Al Khater said: "Hamad International Airport is scaling with purpose to meet rising passenger demand, driven by Qatar's growing appeal as a destination and the strength of its aviation and tourism sector. Guided by our commitment to passenger centricity, our airport continues to optimise its capacity and operations, ensuring that every milestone redefines global standards in airport performance."

During the stand-out quarter, aircraft movements increased by 1.3 percent to 72,700 flights, while cargo volumes held steady at 664,975 tonnes, showing a slight decline of 0.8 percent, compared to Q3 2024. Airlines operating at HIA achieved an average seat load factor of 84.1 percent, an increase of 2 percentage points compared to the same period last year, reflecting strong demand and efficient route performance.
