Qatar Chamber Explores Investment Opportunities Galore in Tanzania
Doha, June 10 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber discussed investment opportunities available in the United Republic of Tanzania and the most significant areas of cooperation between companies in the two countries, as well as the investment climate and opportunities available in Tanzania across a range of sectors, including mining, energy, construction, infrastructure, services, and food industries.
This came in a meeting held by First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, with a trade delegation from the United Republic of Tanzania, headed by Representative of the Ministry of Public Works of Tanzania, Eng. Peter Sikalumba.
Al Kuwari emphasized Qatar's growing interest in investment opportunities across Africa, noting that Tanzania offers promising prospects in a variety of sectors that could attract Qatari investors.
He affirmed the Chamber's readiness to support cooperation between the Qatari and Tanzanian private sectors and to promote investment opportunities available in Tanzania, highlighting the interest of Qatari investors in sectors such as services, food industries, and other promising fields.
In turn, Eng. Peter Sikalumba highlighted Tanzania's abundant investment opportunities, particularly in infrastructure and road development projects, noting the presence of successful Qatari investments in Tanzania and expressed his country's aspiration to attract more.
For his part, Qatar Chamber Board Member, Mohamed Al Obaidli, affirmed the growing interest in investing across Africa, particularly in digital banking and transportation applications.
He stressed the importance of having clear regulations, legal frameworks, and investment guarantees to ensure investor confidence and protect investments. (QNA)
