Doha, June 10 (QNA) - Msheireb Museums Wednesday inaugurated the art exhibition "Sawaed" at Bin Jelmood House in Msheireb Downtown Doha, featuring works by 13 Qatari and resident artists in video art, painting, portraiture, and sculpture.

The exhibition, organized in partnership with Al Markhiya Gallery, celebrates the men and women whose efforts and pioneering visions contributed to building modern Qatar and establishing the foundations of its renaissance, as well as the collective effort that formed the cornerstone of the transformation journey witnessed by the country.

Director General of Msheireb Museums Abdullah Al Naama said in his opening remarks that the exhibition draws inspiration from one of the important narratives and celebrates the human being as the main driver of art and progress.

Al Naama praised the participating artists who engaged with the exhibition's concept and presented contemporary works that enrich the dialogue on the value of work and humanity and their role in building societies, noting that "Sawaed" represents an invitation to reflect on the human story that contributed to building Qatar, and the stability of values that continue to inspire the present and future.

The exhibition, curated by Bachir Mohamad, includes works by visual artists: Ahmed Nouh, Ismail Azam, Amal Al Aathem, Hayyan Monawar, Aisha Al Sulaiti, Fatma Al Shebani, Fatima Al Nuaimi, Mubarak Al Malek, Mohammed Al Hammadi, Maryam Al Mulla, Nasser Al Attiyah, Hilal Al Jaafari, and Hanadi Al Darwish.
