Doha, December 14 (QNA) - Here is a summary of local news released Friday: - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani discussed with HE Prime Minister of the friendly Hellenic Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis the most prominent regional and international developments, especially the latest developments in the region. The call also dealt with discussing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
- HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, celebrated this December.
- HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, received a phone call today from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The call focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring ways to strengthen cooperation between the two nations. They also discussed the latest developments in Gaza and occupied Palestinian territories, the situation in Syria, and other issues of mutual concern.
- HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met today with HE US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who is currently visiting Qatar. The two sides discussed the strategic relationship between the two countries, ways to strengthen and support it, as well as the latest developments in Gaza and occupied Palestinian territories, and the situation in Syria. They also addressed other topics of joint interest.
- The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the heinous massacre committed by the Israeli occupation in the Al Nuseirat Camp in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement Friday, the urgent need for urgent international action to provide protection for the brotherly Palestinian people in light of the brutal and repeated crimes of the occupation against them.
- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi condemned the horrific massacre at the Al Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. He stated that this act is yet another crime perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
