Zurich, December 05 (QNA) - FIFA have brought disciplinary charges against Serbia for alleged misconduct by players and fans, and four Uruguay players for alleged offensive behaviour after their exit from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee opened an investigation against the Serbian Federation over the events that accompanied its national team's match against Switzerland in the last round of the group stage.

FIFA said it was looking into several possible breaches of the disciplinary rules, including "misconduct by players and officials" and "discrimination".

FIFA referred to incidents during the match that Switzerland won 3-2 to qualify with Brazil to the Round of 16 for Group G, World soccer's governing body did not specify which incidents at Stadium 974 led to charges.

The International Federation also opened an investigation against the Uruguay Federation, because of what happened after the end of the match against Ghana in the last round of the group stage.
FIFA accused Uruguay players and officials of "misconduct" and "aggressive behavior" in a statement issued today.
