4.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Venezuela
Caracas, August 02 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck Venezuela on Sunday.
The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the US Geological Survey.
So far, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
Venezuela was struck on June 24 by two earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, approximately 40 seconds apart. This prompted authorities to declare a state of emergency, and several countries and international organizations rushed to send rescue teams and humanitarian aid to the country. (QNA)
