Doha, December 02 (QNA) - Amidst a festive carnival atmosphere and great success in organizing the finals of the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Qatar recalled memories of one of the most important events in the history of Qatari, Gulf and Arab sports.

As of today, Friday, coincides with the 12th anniversary of the announcement that the State of Qatar won the right to host the most prominent global football event.

The past 12 years have witnessed tremendous efforts at all levels, which culminated in the presentation of an exceptional, unprecedented and unique version in the history of the World Cup tournaments, whether inside or outside the stadiums, which won praise at all regional and global levels.

On the way to the World Cup, Qatar faced many challenges from various criticisms and constant Western skepticism about its ability to organize the event, but it responded with action and remained silent.

The praise for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 came at all regional and global levels. French President Emmanuel Macron praised the distinguished efforts made by the State of Qatar to make the World Cup a success.

On the diplomatic level, HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Qatar Javier Carbajosa Sanchez, praised the great efforts made by Qatar to ensure the success of the World Cup and to present a distinguished tournament full of wonderful events.

HE Ambassador of Japan to Qatar Satoshi Maeda, also appreciated the tremendous efforts made by the State of Qatar to make the World Cup a success, which was not only limited to building stadiums, but also extended to developing many social infrastructures and service projects, roads, bridges, ports, airports, metro, housing units and the development of the tourism sector.

In the same context, HE Ambassador of the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco to Qatar Mohamed Setri, praised the unique Qatar World Cup stadiums, which are characterized by their simulation of Arab and Qatari culture, with their reliance on advanced technology, to form a unique image in terms of design and construction.

As for HE Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Qatar Mohamed Noureddine Ismail, he praised the great success achieved by the World Cup and the huge infrastructure implemented by the State of Qatar. HE Minister of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia Husein Memic, praised the impressive organization of the Qatar World Cup and the designs of the tournament stadiums.

On the sports level, the praise was present with particular strength from HE Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), who praised the great organizational success of the World Cup, stressing that he was fully aware of Qatar's ability to organize the great event in an unprecedented manner, referring to the wonderful World Cup stadiums that like no other.

Louis van Gaal, coach of the Dutch national football team, also praised the capabilities provided by Qatar to host the World Cup, especially in terms of unique stadiums and available capabilities.
Didier Deschamps, coach of the French national team, agreed with his Dutch counterpart, and praised the Qatar World Cup stadiums, which he described as distinguished, especially in terms of turf that helps players to do their best.

Day after day, the World Cup Qatar 2022 witnesses various successes in light of the records it achieved at various levels, whether in terms of audience attendance or the ability of the fans to watch more than one match per day, or in terms of used environmentally friendly technologies, or in terms of legacy and sustainability, as well as the advanced technologies that characterize the stadiums, in addition to the World Cup ball "Al Rihla", which uses modern technology capable of giving referees the ability to make the right decision.

After 13 days of strong competitions and resounding surprises, the World Cup Qatar 2022 has changed many concepts and beliefs about football, and the applied modern technology has also contributed to all teams obtaining their rights on the field. (QNA)
