Doha, December 02 (QNA) - The former Saudi national team goalkeeper Mohamed Al-Deayea, confirmed that the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is the best organized edition, pointing out that Qatar presented a different image through the wonderful organization at all levels, and was able to confirm its entitlement to the honor of organizing and directing the world's attention, with its ability to excel in organizing this largest football event.

In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Al-Deayea added that he participated in four World Cup tournaments in 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006, but in Qatar the situation is different, as it succeeded in outperforming giant countries that had previously organized the World Cup on previous occasions.

Al-Deayea, who played for Al-Tai and Al-Hilal teams and received many offers, most notably from Manchester United, said that the Qatari team played on its land and among its fans for the first time in the World Cup, but the individual mistakes caused the defeat in the three matches.

He said: "The Saudi national team was at the height of readiness and did not suffer from any difficult circumstances, and its start was strong in the World Cup against one of the most prominent candidates for the title, and it succeeded in achieving a historic victory over a team led by Lionel Messi, the best player in the world, and the victory that was achieved gave the team high morale and raised the ceiling of ambitions to go far in the championship rounds, and ignite enthusiasm among the national team." And he continued: "If we want to evaluate the participation of the Saudi national team in its three matches, we can say that it was affected in the second confrontation against Poland due to the injuries that occurred, especially with the absence of leader Salman Al-Faraj, and then also the absence of Yasser Al-Shahrani, who was seriously injured, and they are two of the main influential players." The best goalkeeper in the history of Saudi football blessed the Moroccan national team for its well-deserved qualification, after winning in Group F at the expense of prestigious teams such as Belgium and Croatia.
