Paris, November 09 (QNA) - President of the Senegalese Football Federation Augustin Senghor said he was worried over talisman Sadio Mane's injury only 11 days ahead of Qatar 2022.

Mane was taken out after 20 minutes of Bayern Munich's 6-1 Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen on Tuesday.

Senghor said in press statements that they had been worried since they received the news of Mane's injury yesterday, adding they were waiting to be formally informed by Bayern medical staff after doing the diagnosis.

However, Senghor said that Senegal would have to adapt if Mane failed to recover in time.

Senegal President Macky Sall also voiced concerns over Mane's possible absence. Sadio, heart of a Lion! All my heart is with you!, he tweeted.

Senegal were drawn in group A along with Qatar, Holland and Ecuador. (QNA)
