Doha, November 07 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Doha Mohamed Setri said the architecture of the stadiums for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 emulate Arab and Qatari cultures while, simultaneously, utilizing advanced technology, adding that these stadiums will leave lasting post-World Cup impact as they will be used for various purposes to serve the local and international communities.

Speaking exclusively to Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency expressed his pride in the State of Qatar's huge achievements since winning the bid to host the world's most important and largest football tournament.

All concerned authorities accelerated the construction of stadiums, training venues, means of transportation and accommodation, as well as infrastructure projects and services in record time despite the COVID-19 pandemic repercussions, His Excellency said.

Hailing Qatar's organizational capabilities, HE the Moroccan Ambassador said the various events hosted by Qatar served as an opportunity to test the preparedness of operational processes and facilities at all levels like receiving fans, ticket sales, transportation, access to stadiums on match days, security and health protocols, fans' exit from stadiums and access to cultural activities.

His Excellency stressed that football fans worldwide will focus on the State of Qatar during the first-ever World Cup to be held in the Arab region and the Middle East. This event is a source of pride for all because this tournament is like a cup for all Arabs, His Excellency added.

His Excellency said that FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will mark Morocco's fifth World Cup appearance, which reflects the advanced and distinguished level of the Moroccan football in line with the country's advanced sports infrastructure and stadiums.

His Excellency also ascribed his country's qualification to this edition to the good results achieved by Moroccan men, women and futsal national teams as well as Moroccan national team for blind football and national clubs.

Despite being drawn in a tough group along with Belgium, which maintained its second spot in the FIFA World Rankings, Croatia-the 2018 World Cup runners-up- and Canada, His Excellency voiced hopes his country would go far in Qatar 2022.

His Excellency speculated that the Moroccan national team has great opportunity to achieve better results in the World Cup owing to their high-quality players who play in reputable European leagues and the highly expected support from thousands of Moroccan and Arab fans.

His Excellency called on the Moroccan fans to support their team using their distinctive slogans and chants and abide by the precautions and measures adopted by the concerned authorities in the State of Qatar to make the matches a real sporting festival. (QNA)
