Doha, November 30 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia lost Wednesday 1-2 against Mexico at Lusail Stadium, in the final round of Group C of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Henry Martin (47th minute) and Luis Chavez (52nd minute) scored Mexico's goals, while Salem Al Dawsari scored a consolation in the fifth minute of added-on time.
The result led to both teams' elimination from the competition. Saudi Arabia ended bottom of the group with three points. Mexico meanwhile finished third, but only behind Poland on goal difference. Argentina topped the group after beating Poland 2-0.
Argentina will face Australia, while Poland will face France. (QNA)
