Doha, November 25 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia coach Herve Renard termed his team's match on Saturday against Poland as difficult, in the second round of Group C of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
At the pre-match press conference today, Renard said they will play a very important match against a very strong team, adding that they still have two important matches and their goal is to win. "We played only one match, we must finish the group in first or second places. The most important thing is to qualify for the next round, and we must continue to improve performance and reduce the level difference between us and the other teams." Regarding player Yasser Al Shahrani, who was injured in the Saudi match against Argentina, Renard said Al Shahrani is an important player and they will miss him tomorrow, but they have options to replace him.
On Salman Al Faraj's injury, Renard said it is difficult for Salman Al Faraj to participate in the upcoming matches in the World Cup because of his injury.
Saudi national team striker Saleh Al Shehri affirmed his confidence in achieving a good result against Poland.
Al Shehri said in the press conference that they believe in their capabilities and do not underestimate any other team, adding their victory over Argentina gave them a stronger and better confidence for the next two matches. (QNA)
