Doha, November 24 (QNA) - Uruguay coach Diego Alonso said his team faced many difficulties during their match against South Korea in the Group H of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The match ended in a goalless draw.
The coach said in the post-match press conference that the South Korean team was not an easy opponent. The truth, he said, is that they were the best in the first half when they dominated and launched organized attacks on their goal, adding that his team changed this tend in the second half and became better by creating chances but without scoring goals.
He said that they played with three strikers, behind them three midfielders, and gave freedom to the two fullbacks to advance, but they needed to be more effective in attack. "We have to correct things, improve what we can, we need to grow and get better, we have the players to give quite a bit more." The Uruguayan coach stressed that they must perform at a better level in the next match, which may not be decisive, but it will be very important. (QNA)
