Doha, November 24 (QNA) - Switzerland coach Murat Yakin expressed happiness at his team's 1-0 win over Cameroon at Al Janoub Stadium on Thursday, in the first Group G game of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Speaking at the press conference after the match, Yakin said it was important to get into the atmosphere of the match early, adding that they were organized and dominated the match . He said the first half was not of high quality, but they improved in the second half and scored the winning goal.
He added that they had clear chances, and the performance was good in general. The Swiss coach added that they were ready and moved forward, highlighting their happiness with the achieved result. "Maybe 1-0 is not sufficient", Yakin said, while saying that he was proud of the result.
The next match against Brazil will be completely different, he said, adding now the Switzerland team won and will enjoy the moment and have enough time to prepare for the next match and will work to achieve a positive result. (QNA)
