Doha, November 03 (QNA) - Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group has won two awards at the 2026 MEED Middle East and North Africa Banking Excellence Awards: Best Bank for Gender Diversity and Best Bank for Green and Social Bonds Issuance.

QNB said the awards reflect its commitment to sustainable growth, inclusive leadership and responsible finance, and its integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across its operations.

The gender diversity award recognizes its efforts to promote an inclusive workplace and empower women at all career levels through governance, leadership development, talent management and employee engagement frameworks.

The green and social bonds award highlights QNB's role in sustainable capital markets and directing finance toward environmental and social goals.

During the evaluation period, the group completed major sustainable finance deals, including a EUR 750 million green bond, the largest euro-denominated green bond issued by a bank in the GCC at the time, as well as innovative social and climate transition bond issuances across its international network.

Executive Vice President of Business Development Strategy at QNB Group Najla Ibrahim Al Mutawa said the awards recognize the group's ongoing commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable finance.

She added that the recognition highlights progress in embedding diversity, inclusion and sustainability across the group's strategy, governance frameworks and operations throughout its international network. (QNA)
