Doha, November 24 (QNA) - Coach of the Senegalese national team Aliou Cisse, confirmed that facing the Qatari team tomorrow in the second round of Group A of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be a "major challenge between the champions of Africa and Asia," who are seeking to cling to their chances of qualifying for the second round of the World Cup tournament.

Addressing a press conference that preceded the match today Cisse said: "Facing Qatar will not be easy in light of the two teams' urgent need to win in order to preserve the chances of reaching the next round. It is a match between the champions of two continents who have a good level despite Qatar's losing in the first match. We are ready after we took a sufficient rest after the opening match against the Dutch national team.

The Senegalese coach added that his team learned a lot from the lesson of the first match, which it lost, and the truth is that ''we did not play badly, but rather presented a great level against a team that comes eighth in the latest FIFA rankings. We feel a lot of satisfaction with our performance, but we are now in front of the inevitability of winning the Qatar match, which has a distinguished level, despite the loss, which may had been surprising." In turn, Senegalese captain Kalidou Coulibaly affirmed his and his teammates determination to achieve victory not only against the Qatari national team, but also in the last match against Ecuador in order to ensure passage to the second round of the tournament, indicating that his country's national team is nicknamed the "Teranga Lions" that do not surrender and will show great ferocity for the remainder of the tournament.

The Chelsea defender said the match in front of Qatar and the fans will definitely not be easy. The Qatari team will receive great backing from its supporters, but at the same time we are ready and want to win because our ambition from the beginning is to pass to the next round and not just to play the three matches.
