Doha, November 02 (QNA) - HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah checked the preparations of the Amiri Air Force and the Amiri Air Defense Force, who are participating in securing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as part of His Excellency's tour of all units participating in securing the tournament as part of the Ministry of Defense's preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
During the inspection tour, His Excellency was briefed on the preparations of the aerial component of securing the event.
His Excellency was accompanied during the tour by HE Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces HE Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, HE Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense and Security Affairs Major General (Pilot) Mohammed Abdullatif Al Mannai, who is also Chairman of the Ministry of Defense's Executive Committee for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, HE Commander of the Joint Force to secure the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Major General Saeed bin Hussain Al Khayarin, and a number of ranking officers at the Armed Forces.
