Manama, November 01 (QNA) - The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned and denounced the attack on the Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier "Al Mayeda," owned by Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat), while sailing through the Arabian Gulf. Bahrain termed the attack as a grave threat to maritime safety, marine environments, and global energy supply security, as well as a breach of international law and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.

In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Bahrain’s full solidarity with Qatar and support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, vital interests, vessels, and crews.

The Ministry called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take decisive action to prevent recurring attacks, hold perpetrators accountable, and guarantee freedom of navigation and safe transit through international waterways, in a manner that ensures energy security and the flow of global trade, and promotes security, stability, and sustainable development in the region and the world.
