Paris, September 09 (QNA) - The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) will hold an international seminar at its headquarters in Paris on Friday to discuss the future of education and the role of practitioners and teachers in shaping its policies in light of the rapid transformations imposed by artificial intelligence and technology, with Qatari participation represented by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE).
This international seminar, organized in collaboration with the International Forum of Inclusion Practitioners (IFIP), focuses on key issues including artificial intelligence in education, inclusive education, skills and vocational training, and educational innovation, as well as promoting collaboration between teachers, educational institution leaders and policymakers.
The two-day seminar aims to give practitioners in the field of education a greater voice in international discussions, and to link practical experiences with decisions and policies related to the future of education.
It discusses ways to create an international framework that would allow for more regular representation of teachers, school leaders, and educational institutions in international forums, thereby enhancing the presence of field experience in educational policymaking. The Association for World Education (AWE) initiative proposes a framework for the representation of educational leaders and organizations at the international level.
The discussions contribute to formulating practical recommendations and proposals regarding inclusive education, the responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence, skills development, and enhancing practitioner participation in policymaking. (QNA)
