Lekhwiya Develops Solar-Powered System to Produce Drinking Water From Air

Doha, September 09 (QNA) - The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), represented by its Security Technologies Department, has developed a system that produces clean drinking water from air by extracting atmospheric moisture and converting it into potable water in accordance with the highest international safety and quality standards.
The device was named "Badr" to commemorate the martyr Badr Saad Mohammed Al Humaidi Al Dosari, who was killed in the treacherous Israeli aggression against Doha last year.
The new system comprises two main models designed to meet different field requirements. The first is intended for indoor use and has a production capacity of 200 liters a day, equivalent to 600 330-milliliter bottles of water. The second is designed for sites and areas requiring a high production capacity of up to 5,000 liters a day, equivalent to 12,000 330-milliliter bottles.
The system was specifically designed to operate efficiently in the presence of chemical and radioactive contaminants. It is also powered by solar energy, helping promote resource sustainability, enhance field readiness, and deploy modern technologies to address security and environmental challenges. (QNA)
