4.9-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northern Mariana Islands in Pacific
Saipan, September 09 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale struck the coast of the Northern Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean on Wednesday.
The US Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage resulting from the earthquake.
The Northern Mariana Islands are situated amidst a group of islands, bordered by Japan to the north, Hawaii to the east, Guam to the south, and the Philippines to the west. (QNA)
