Washington, September 06 (QNA) - WhatsApp has announced plans to increase the maximum number of messages users can pin within individual and group chats on Android from three to four.
The platform has begun testing the new feature with a select group of beta users ahead of a wider rollout. When attempting to pin a new message, users are now presented with an option to add a fourth message, eliminating the need to unpin one of the three previously pinned messages.
This move aims to provide users with greater flexibility in keeping important information at the top of conversations, particularly in high-volume group chats, and allows users to select the duration for which the message remains pinned.
WhatsApp is rolling out the feature gradually to Android beta users, with plans to expand availability to a broader user base at a later date. (QNA)
