124 Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque While Protected by Occupation Soldiers
Occupied Jerusalem, September 06 (QNA) - Palestinian sources reported that 124 settlers marched into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Sunday in successive groups through the Dung Gate and provocatively circumambulated the compound.
The move comes in the wake of repeated incursions carried out under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, marked by relentless escalation and abuses against Palestinians and their sacred places.
The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments documented 26 incursions into the compound by Israeli authorities and settlers during August.
It noted that settlers continued to march into the mosque through the gate during the morning and evening periods while under heavy protection from Israeli police.
The raids included the performance of Talmudic and provocative rituals, while the call to prayer was banned at the Ibrahimi Mosque 155 times. (QNA)
