Doha, September 05 (QNA) - Al Sadd delivered a dominant 4-1 victory over Al Gharafa in the final match of Week 3 of the 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Saturday.
Yousef Abdulrazaq (fifth minute), Claudinho (12th minute), Akram Afif (50th minute) and Roberto Firmino (90+3 minute) were on target for The Wolves, who maintained their perfect start to the season with a maximum nine points and strengthened their position at the top of table.
Yacine Brahimi scored a late consolation for The Cheetahs in the 82nd minute. Al Gharafa remained on three points from a single win so far.
Abdulrazaq opened the scoring early, converting a right-footed shot from close range into the bottom-left corner after a precise assist from Firmino. Afif then played a key role in the second goal, delivering a swerving cross on a fast break that Claudinho finished. Afif added the third himself early in the second half following an excellent work by Pedro Miguel.
Brahimi briefly raised hopes for the visitors with a goal eight minutes from time, but Firmino sealed the win deep into stoppage time, underlining Al Sadd's superior attacking quality. (QNA)
