Doha, September 04 (QNA) - Lusail secured their first-ever Doha Bank Stars League victory with a 4-0 win over Al Wakrah at Lusail Stadium on Friday.
Hamidreza Firouzi opened the scoring in the 13th minute before Rodrigo Machado doubled Lusail's lead from the penalty spot six minutes later.
Farhad Esmaeili added two more goals, in first-half stoppage time and the 57th minute, to complete a dominant victory for the newly promoted side.
The result moved Lusail to five points and temporarily into fifth place. Al Wakrah, meanwhile, remain 11th with one point after suffering their second defeat of the season. (QNA)
