Qatar Permanent Representative to UN Meets 81st UNGA President-Elect
New York, September 03 (QNA) - HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE President-elect of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Dr. Khalilur Rahman.
HE the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations commended the ongoing cooperation with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, wishing the President-elect success in carrying out his duties, and affirming the State of Qatar's full readiness to continue coordinating with the Office, in a way that contributes to the success of the work of the 81st session.
In turn, HE the President-elect voiced his deep appreciation to the State of Qatar for its continued cooperation with the United Nations, praising its active role in supporting the work of the organization, and affirming his aspiration to continue close cooperation with the State of Qatar to enhance the role of the General Assembly in addressing challenges and issues of common interest.
