Doha, September 29 (QNA) - Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education has honored 82 students for outstanding achievements in international and Gulf competitions during the 2025-26 academic year.

The students were recognized at a ceremony attended by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah Al Khater and HE Dr Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, the ministry undersecretary.

Director of Public Relations and Communication Department Maryam Al Muhannadi said international competitions provided students with opportunities to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they had developed through their education and training.

She described the awards as recognition of the students' commitment, discipline and perseverance, as well as the wider support provided by their families, teachers, supervisors and schools.

The ministry said the achievements of students from both government and private schools reflected cooperation across Qatar's education sector, as well as efforts to identify talented students, develop their abilities and provide opportunities for them to represent the country at international events.

Al Muhannadi also highlighted the role of the education ministry in supporting talented and high-achieving students, saying such successes could encourage other students to participate in educational activities and pursue opportunities for achievement.

The ceremony included a video presentation highlighting the students' participation and achievements in international competitions and events.

School leaders, parents and education and academic figures also attended the event.

The ministry said it would continue working to strengthen students' knowledge, skills and confidence as part of efforts linked to the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. (QNA)
