Doha, September 28 (QNA) - The National Planning Council, in collaboration with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, held its periodic Planning, Quality and Innovation Forum on Monday, providing a platform for directors of planning, quality and innovation departments across government entities.

HE President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, opened the forum with a keynote address.

In his remarks, His Excellency underscored the pivotal role of planning, quality, and innovation departments in overseeing strategies and formulating projects and programs that bridge national priorities with day-to-day implementation.

In this context, His Excellency reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the National Planning Council and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau to providing every form of support and assistance to ensure that institutional efforts remain fully aligned with the State's strategic directions.

His Excellency said: "This forum convenes at a time when we must redouble our efforts to realize Qatar National Vision 2030 and deliver the Third National Development Strategy 2024–2030, particularly its core pillars, which place innovation and the development of national capabilities at the forefront of national priorities. Advancing the country's development and achieving our national vision call for the adoption of modern implementation mechanisms that provide all of us with a comprehensive perspective, enabling us to set priorities with precision and measure progress efficiently. These mechanisms are founded on institutionalizing unified standards for data exchange between government entities and the National Planning Council."

The forum featured presentations on the priorities of the Third National Development Strategy and their implications for government entities. It also highlighted the updated Strategy Implementation Governance Guide and its role in supporting entities in aligning with developments under the Strategy, while discussing the role of the "Q-Execute" System.

Participants also examined the importance of continuously updating national data to support evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning. The forum reviewed the digital transformation journey of the national statistical system and explored the role of advanced technologies in enhancing data collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination, while strengthening data integration and ensuring timely access to data for a wide range of stakeholders.

The forum seeks to strengthen knowledge exchange and foster collaboration among planning, quality and innovation departments across government entities, underscoring the importance of sustained coordination and cross-government cooperation in advancing the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
